Evaluate the CSR of your company !

You are General Manager or Director of your Company, and you do not know very well where you stand with the Corporate Social Responsibility, or you do not know where to begin with YOUR CSR approach? So we wrote a small questionnaire of 20 questions to answer by yes, no or Do not know.

1/20) Do you think that a company is not only ridges to earn money, but can also be concerned by environment or pollution, or by the wellness of its personnel? 

2/20) Do you think that the value of your company is also fixed by its image, its human capital and its immaterial capital?

3/20) Do you think that, as Manager of your company, you are also responsible for the direction that the world is taking, even locally?

4/20) Do you think that Corporate Social Responsibility must remain voluntary, and thus not imposed by an authority?

5/20) Do you think that the CSR concept has to carry in itself the recognition of the whole components of the company: its shareholders and its leaders, its employees, its customers, its suppliers, on the territories where the company is present.

6/20) The CSR starts where the law stops: it opens on all what the companies are doing and can make beyond the legal constraints.

7/20) The CSR can be profitable, benefitting to all stakeholders of the company (its shareholders, its leaders, its employees, its customers, its suppliers).

8/20) Does your company have a written declaration explaining her missions and values, her vision on what has to be her CSR approach?

9/20) Does your company have a written Ethical Code, distributed to the employees?

10/20) Did your personnel follow a in-house training or seminar explaining the CSR in general, and your CSR in particular?

11/20) Does your company have a CSR Manager or a person who is occupied with the CSR of your company?

12/20) Are the articles sold by your company known as “Socially Responsible”, even partly? (For the financial sector, we also speak about Socially Responsible Investment)

13/20) Does your company publish an annual social report, or a report on its CSR?

14/20) Does your company apply its suppliers to accede to its values?

15/20) Does your company try to have a regular dialogue concerning its CSR with its stakeholders (which are its suppliers, its customers, his personnel, his management, his shareholders)?

16/20) Does your company contribute to local projects (with an association or an NGO for example) for the community?

17/20) Does your company subscribe to standards concerning the environment, such as ISO14000 ?

18/20) Does your company have a procedure concerning discrimination or harassment on the place of work?

19/20) Does your company have a procedure concerning all discriminations at the time of recruitment, promotion or trainings?

20/20) Does your company have a system allowing the employees to take part in the capital or the benefits of the company (premiums with the profit-sharing for example)?
